Emily Chappell: On mega rides, menstruation and mental toughness (most of the time)
With a colourful cycling CV that includes a stint as a London Cycle courier, crazy long distances (frequently at sub-zero temperatures) and two very different experiences of the Transcontinental Race, Emily Chappell has some incredible cycling stories to tell and an amazing way of recounting them (in person and on the printed page). In this on-stage conversation with Rebecca Charlton, we’ll cover a handful of those experiences and find out how Emily deals with the big issues of mega rides, menstruation and mental toughness. Our expert in residence: Emily Chappell, long-distance cyclist and author of What Goes Around: A London Cycle Couriers Story (2016) and Where There's A Will: Hope, Grief and Endurance in a Cycle Race Across a Continent (2019)
Jasmijn Muller: Train Like A Woman
Jasmijn Muller has set the Zwift static bike distance record, been national and world 24-hour time trial champion, ridden London-Edinburgh-London, Paris-Brest-Paris - as well as countless other Audax and endurance events. Her physical stamina is undoubtable, her mental toughness indisputable – and to top it off, she’s an all-round good egg.
We couldn’t think of anyone better to coach us all, which is why we’re honoured to feature this exclusive coaching session, hosted by Jasmijn. In it, she will reveal how to adapt your training to achieve optimal performance through the various stages of the menstrual cycle. She’ll tell us why “women are not small men”, plus she’ll share essential 'bio-hacks' for working with your female physiology to thrive at key events. (Copy contribution: Laura Gerling)

With their unique brand of humour and banter, the ladies behind the Wheel Suckers Podcast ask the questions many dare not ask and highlight the lesser-known heroes of women’s cycling. Here, they chat to Casquette founder Danielle Welton about the highs, lows, surprises, thrills and spills of her position at the helm of Casquette and Casquette Live and may consume a gin or two while they’re at it.
